A while back I was asked to develop a course for our customers detailing how to safeguard privacy and security while online. After doing some hefty research, I composed a 20 page white paper with the target audience being real estate professionals. This select group, like many other professions, has their technical novices and that was the audience I had in mind when I wrote the paper. The white paper became the basis for a two hour instructor led course taught by yours truly. Using the principles of instructional design (read the instructional design documentation), the course is designed to effectively communicate the myriad of foci relating to Digital Age privacy and security, for customers and individuals. The website is an interactive version of the white paper and was designed to be asynchronous. Users can jump from topic to topic without feeling like they are lost. Essentially, the sections are mini sites that encompass a privacy or security topic. Developed with the help of Jason Haggstrom, Metrolist's graphic/web designer.
